In Piazza Sant'Agostino, a quiet square in the heart of Modena, a seven-meter triangular structure has just unfolded in full public view. Its steel panels catch the afternoon light and fold like a giant sheet of origami, hinting at something far larger still to come. This is the scale model of a kinetic roof designed by CRA-Carlo Ratti Associati and kinetic-structure pioneer Chuck Hoberman, the architectural centrepiece of AGO.
