This is the scale model of a kinetic roof designed by CRA-Carlo Ratti Associati and kinetic-structure pioneer Chuck Hoberman, the architectural centrepiece of AGO.

Drawing deeply from the lineage of mid-century modernism—specifically the architectural foundations of Sharpe Thompson, Berwick and Pratt and subsequent work by Michael Lightbody—the design treats the landscape not as a backdrop, but as a primary building material.
