Design Week Calgary
Design Week Calgary 2026 — August 6–8, 2026, presented by Design Talks. A multi-day festival celebrating Calgary's creative community through talks, exhibitions, tours, film screenings, and social events.
This year's theme, "In Tune," invites attendees to notice the rhythms of the city — its sounds, spaces, and people — and explore how design reveals overlooked connections between the built environment and everyday life.
Featured events include: a Launch Party (with Montauk Sofa, IDS, and Avenue Magazine); "Calgary in Film," exploring the city's architecture on screen; "Dinner With a Designer: Way of Normal"; a "Fabrication Field Trip" touring local makers; and "Lost & Found," a sound/music exhibit. Categories span exhibitions, tours, film, and talks, covering architecture, interiors, industrial design, and multidisciplinary work.
Supported by sponsors including Calgary Foundation, Contemporary Calgary, Calgary Arts Development, HCMA, and Calgary Economic Development. Full event lineup and tickets available on the site.
