QART BIM Composer: Automate Revit Data & Cut Errors

You can model a wall down to the millimetre, but that alone doesn’t tell you much. There’s no information about material, quantity, or standards. In Autodesk Revit, users usually fill in these details by hand, assigning parameters one by one and checking for completeness afterward.

QART BIM Composer, a Revit plugin, changes this routine. It combines once-separate, repetitive steps into a single, organized process within the modelling environment. The idea is simple: a good information model isn’t just about precise 3D objects. It’s about having structured, complete, consistent, and easily checked data attached to each one.
In everyday use, Revit still requires a lot of manual work. Users must assign parameters, fill in data, verify every element is complete, and verify everything satisfies project standards. These tasks aren’t optional, and they take up a lot of time, especially with complex models or large numbers of elements.
QART BIM Composer focuses on improving data quality. By organizing and managing information better, it makes gaps easier to find. It also lowers errors from manual entry and helps keep the model consistent with project standards.
The industry is already moving in this direction. Reliability, interoperability, and information quality matter more each year. Tools like this help make workflows more structured, efficient, and easy to verify. The goal is simple: turn manual, repetitive Revit tasks into faster, automated, and easily checked processes.
Seven Tools, One Model
Assignment lets users link shared parameters to Revit categories quickly and easily. Instead of working through each parameter and category one by one, users can select multiple categories and parameters at once, set them as instance or type parameters, and choose the property group where they appear. This greatly lowers setup time and keeps the project’s information structure stable.

Smart Compliance automatically fills in information parameters. It reads geometric values already in the model, such as area, volume, length, thickness, and other quantities, and copies them to the corresponding parameters. There’s no need to type in the data—it comes straight from the model. This keeps geometry and information in sync and lowers errors and repetitive work.

Clean Model finds families that aren’t used in the project—those without any real instances in the model. It then safely deletes them, freeing up space and lightening the model.
Family Renamer helps standardize Refamilylies type names using user-defined patterns. You can define strings, separators, and numbering. When possible, native type values can be included. A preview lets you see the results before making any changes.

Weight Calculator estimates the mass of model elements in bulk using Revit's geometric data. It can calculate weight in two ways: using total volume and the main material density, or using individual material volumes when available. The results appear in a table and can be written to a parameter you choose. This turns geometry into clear, structured data.

Parameter Check reviews the quality of parameters that have already been filled in. It looks for grammar mistakes, typos, and extra spaces in text values. It also checks numbers against the data Revit provides. It flags anything inconsistent or needing fixing.

Coordinate Calculator finds the coordinates of each instance based on the center of its bounding box, using the survey or project point as a reference [confirm which]. It then writes these values in bulk to the parameters you choose.
Review checks if the model’s information meets the requirements set by the openBIM IDS standard. It identifies missing information and extra data, and shows the model's overall completeness. Users can address issues while modelling, so verification becomes a continuous process. This helps the team improve the model before delivery and stay closer to the required standards.
