Housing on the Line is a conceptual exhibition asking whether Toronto's subway stations could double as housing sites. Conceived by Superkül, developed with COMN Architects, Dubbeldam Architecture + Design, Gabriel Fain Architects, StudioAC, Studio VAARO, and Suulin, the project pairs each firm with a station on TTC Line 2 Bloor-Danforth. 

Highlights include Superkül's sage-toned screen over Keele Station; StudioAC's density scheme at Ossington; Dubbeldam's Christie Co/Habitat, extending Christie Pits Park onto a terraced roof; Studio VAARO's St. George Commons tower; Gabriel Fain's rooftop daycare above Castle Frank; Suulin's Broad View park hubs at Broadview; and COMN's Chester Lane, twenty-five units at Chester. 

Set against Toronto's affordability crisis, the show asks how existing infrastructure can become a substrate for beautiful, needed housing. The reception runs 6:00-9:30 p.m. on Sept 24 at The Bakery, 2 Fraser Avenue, Liberty Village, with viewing continuing through Sept 27.
