Tycos Drive Trade Day: Your Ultimate Design Guide

Most drivers pass by the row of light-industrial units on Tycos Drive without a second look. On a typical Tuesday, roll-up doors and loading bays are just part of the everyday scene.

But on September 16, the street comes alive.

In North York's Castlefield Design District, the street will change for one day. Storefronts open, carpets are rolled out, and lattes replace the usual forklifts. Tycos Drive Trade Day runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, September 16, 2026. All 26 showrooms are open together.

We (Forma) are already included in our upcoming event, which many of you learned about. But it was not enough. A few requests came in: "Can I have the map?" " Which companies are involved?"

So here's the personality for the Tycos Drive Trade Day 2026.

The concept is simple. Same buildings, but every door opens at once, turning a regular commercial strip into one of the industry’s most efficient trade shows. Interior designers can visit every showroom in one place, without travelling across the city. This for 6 hours!

A Roche-Bobois display is just a few doors down from Weavers Art. On this day, international brands and Canadian independents share the street side by side.

The talks are more than just an extra. They happen right on the showroom floors, with sessions confirmed at Kravet Canada, Muti Kitchen & Bath, W-Studio, and Au Lit Fine Linens.

Kravet will present its textile showcase with Gaston y Daniela. Dolce Magazine is hosting a "Live Artfully" panel at W-Studio. Lynda Reeves will sit down with Joanna Goodman, a conversation many in the industry are looking forward to. Kohler’s session features Dvira Ovadia of DVIRA Interiors and sales executive Anton Cushing from Kohler and Kallista.

There’s no stage or AV truck outside. The showroom floors serve as both event spaces and backstage areas.

This year, Marla Baker will lead a curated Designer Tour through five selected showrooms. If you’d rather explore on your own, you can take a self-guided tour and enjoy free lattes, gelato, and wood-fired pizza along the sidewalk between stops. Special giveaways are also available at different showrooms throughout the day.

At 4 p.m., the main event moves to a Networking Intermission, running until 6 p.m. in the new Networking Hub at 125 Tycos Drive, with coffee from Tripletta. Some showrooms will keep the evening going with an after-party at 136 Tycos Drive, hosted by Cava Surfaces, Opulence Architectural Systems, Luxeme Kitchens, and Donysh Inc., from 6 to 11 p.m.

DON'T MISS OUT

Passport Journey Giveaway

Tycos Drive Trade Day turns a day of showroom visits into a design adventure. As you make your way from one destination to the next, pick up a unique stamp at each participating showroom and start piecing together the hidden phrase in your Trade Day Passport.

The journey begins at one of the four Registration Hubs, where you can pick up your Show Guide and Passport before heading out to explore Tycos Drive. Here is where the day gets even better. One lucky winner will take home an incredible collection of prizes with a combined value of up to $8,800 CAD, including premium furnishings, surfaces, architectural fixtures, designer lighting, and more.

How it works

  1. Explore & Connect: Visit participating showrooms, meet the teams, discover new products and collect a unique letter stamp at each stop.

  2. Unscramble: Once you’ve visited the showrooms, put your collected letters together and see if you can crack the secret phrase.

  3. Submit & Enter: Bring your completed passport to The Networking Hub at 125 Tycos Drive by 4:00 PM for your chance to enter the Grand Prize draw.

The prize package includes gift certificates and exclusive prizes from Au Lit Fine Linens, Anatolia, Calligaris, Casa Di Luce, Cava Surfaces, Chateau Windows & Doors, Deco-Tile, JF & Co, Kravet Canada, Luxeme Kitchens, Muti Kitchen & Bath, Opulence, Primavera and Tasco, along with a light blue NOBL carry-on and checked luggage set valued at $2,400 CAD, made in Canada and backed by a lifetime guarantee, courtesy of Amanda Aerin.

It’s more than a giveaway — it’s a reason to slow down, explore the showrooms, discover something new and connect with the people shaping the design industry.

Good luck, and enjoy the journey.
