ICFF: Maria Claudia Clemente and the Colosseum of Tomorrow
Join ICFF on July 15, 2026, for a keynote and masterclass with Maria Claudia Clemente, co-founder of Labics and winner of the international competition for the redevelopment of Rome's Colosseum and Imperial Fora — one of the most significant contemporary interventions within a UNESCO World Heritage context.
Presented by Great Gulf, the evening opens at 6:30pm with "The Colosseum of Tomorrow," a tailored keynote at Canadian Stage (26 Berkeley St.), where Clemente presents architecture as interpretation shaped by research, context, and urban continuity — offering insight into how contemporary design engages historically complex sites through precision, restraint, and cultural responsibility. An Aperitivo follows at 7:45pm at Great Gulf's Head Office (351 King St. E).
Clemente also leads a masterclass at Toronto Metropolitan University on July 16th at 10am, sharing her methodology from research to built execution, in partnership with TMU and the RAIC — the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada.
